4th March 1824 - RNLI Founded as the National Institution for the Preservation of Life from Shipwreck, adopting the present name in 1854. It now operates as an international service to the peoples of the UK and Ireland and has official charity status in each nation.

Charity

Running-Hill CPC is a not for profit members club, each year our profits are donated to local good causes.

2010 - Donations

A charity fund of £1500 was proposed by the treasurer and agreed on by the members at the 2010 AGM held at The Church Inn on Feb 19th 2010. We will let you know which charities will receive awards when we have spoken with our President.

2009 - Donations

Macmillan Cancer Support received £200.
The British Heart Foundation received £600.
Tameside Special Care Baby Unit received £700.
